Hello, Carissa! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
Congratulations on running the
Disney Princess Half Marathon! This was my first
runDisney race back in 2016, and I’ve run seven other
runDisney races since then. There really is nothing quite like a
runDisney event, and having your ChEAR Squad motivating you along the way definitely adds to the magic.
While there are dedicated seating options available for those who purchase a
ChEAR Squad package, there are still several viewing locations where fans can cheer you on without making that purchase. In years past, one of these locations has been
Magic Kingdom Park. Prior to 8 a.m., fans have not needed a Theme Park ticket to access the area along Main Street, U.S.A. to wave their signs and shout encouragement to their runners. I know that a part of that is
changing for the 2020 Walt Disney World Marathon weekend, and at least part of the viewing area at Magic Kingdom Park will require a ChEAR Squad purchase to access. More information will be available as we get closer to the Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend, though, so I would encourage you to keep checking the
runDisney website for additional details. You should also receive a link to the Digital Event Guide as your race date draws near, and it will contain information about where spectators can see you along the course. In the meantime, you can check out last year’s Digital Event Guide to see the
spectator viewing locations for the 2019 race.
I wish you the best of luck with your training and with your race, Carissa! Please let us know if there are any additional questions we can answer to help you prepare for your 13.1 magical miles.
