I will be running the 2018 Dark Side Half and my whole family is traveling to Disney World at the same time, 12 in total. The question I have is what is a good breakfast spot post race close to the finish? We are staying at the Riverside resort.

    Hi Eric!

Thank you for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. After running 13.1 miles during the Star Wars Half Marathon- The Dark Side, you are certainly going to be ready to refuel with a good hearty breakfast!

While we won't know the course for certain until they release the Digital Event Guide, this past year's event is our best indicator, with the understanding that the course is subject to change. This past year the race finished in the Epcot parking lot, so if your family plans on visiting the parks that day, I would certainly recommend looking here for breakfast, since it's personally my favorite park to eat at! There are two great Character Dining locations within Epcot that serve delicious breakfasts! The first is The Garden Grill where you'll enjoy a traditional breakfast at Chip 'n' Dale's Harvest Feast. Your other option is Akershus Royal Banquet Hall where you'll be able to dine with some of your favorite Disney Princesses while enjoying a Norwegian fare!

If your family does not plan on entering a park that day I'd recommend hoping on a bus to Disney Springs, where you will find no shortage of dining options! It is relatively close to both Epcot and your Walt Disney World Resort hotel. Your breakfast options here would be Earl of Sandwich or Wolfgang Puck Express with Raglan Road Irish Pub & Restaurant also serving a delicious brunch on the weekends.
