Hello, are the Royal Rooms (wood view) at the Port New Orleans Resorts close to dining and transportation?

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, LaToya!

Disney's Port Orleans - Riverside Resort is among my favorites, one that I go back to again and again.  I love strolling the paths along the Sassagoula River and among the beautiful landscaping.  The Riverside Mill Food Court is my favorite food court of all the Disney Resort Hotels.  My favorite amenity of this resort is the relaxing boat transportation to Disney Springs.  And don't miss Yehaa Bob performing his family-friendly show in the River Roost Lounge.  He's a true Disney legend!

I'm sure you will love your stay in a Royal Room!  There are so many magical touches throughout.  One of my favorite details are the sink faucets - check them out when you check in!

All Royal Rooms are located in the Magnolia Bend section of the resort, in the Parterre Place and Oak Manor buildings which resemble beautiful antebellum mansions.  (Zoom in to see buildings 90 and 95 on this map.)  There is a footbridge that leads to the main lobby building where dining and shopping are located.  Most Royal Rooms, including the "Woods View" rooms, are about a 5-minute walk to the lobby area or bus stops; I would say 10 minutes at the most walking at a very leisurely pace.  This resort has multiple bus stops.  The South Depot is located in front of the lobby building, and there is also an East Depot located close to Oak Manor.  Check the resort map upon arrival to determine which stop is closest to your room.

I hope that helps!  Please let us know if you have any additional questions as you plan your visit to Walt Disney World Resort.
