Welcome to planDisney, Karina! Thanks for bringing your question to the panel.
Whether you're planning on staying in a Cabin or the Campground, or even just visiting,
Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort is a wild and magical place to retreat from the hustle and bustle of the Theme Parks and really relax with nature. I love the friendly atmosphere of this Resort and find that even as a visitor everyone is always so warm and welcoming.
I hope you've made some plans to see the recently reopened
Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue while you're visiting. This zany and fun show will have you clapping along while you enjoy a fabulous and family-friendly BBQ feast! The venue itself is stunning inside and it's just a quick jaunt from Magic Kingdom, making it quick and easy to head to dinner after an exhilarating day riding
Splash Mountain and
Seven Dwarfs Mine Train!
If you're heading out of Fort Wilderness to
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park you can easily jump on Disney's complimentary bus transportation to get you there! There is even an internal bus route around the Resort because it is quite large. Just hop the internal bus first and then jump on the bus to Animal Kingdom. I like to plan for at least an hour to get from one point to another anywhere around the Walt Disney World Resort, and even a little bit longer if I'm heading to a reservation with a set arrival time.
Did you know that on the
My Disney Experience mobile app there is an interactive map to help you find your way around the more than 40 square miles of the entire
Walt Disney World Resort? After opening the app click the second icon from the left at the bottom to find a map of the Resort. Once you click on a destination you'll see a "Get Directions" button and be able to see your route with different modes of transportation. On this map, your approximate transportation time by
Disney bus is 46 minutes.
I hope you have a wonderful time visiting The Most Magical Place on Earth, Karina! Come back and see us again if you have any other questions.
