Hi Madison! Welcome to planDisney!
I'm so happy to hEAR you're planning an upcoming holiday at
Walt Disney World Resort! It may seem like it's a ways away, but all the planning and excitement will surely make your countdown go by quickly. Many Guests love visiting in the fall because of the perfect temperatures, the Halloween fun, and the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival. While I'm not yet certain, I hope these magical moments will still be happening so that you can experience them next year.
Disney's Art of Animation Resort is one of my favorite Resorts! In fact, it's the one my children ask to return to over and over again. The first time we stayed here was before the
Disney Skyliner was created, so the Resort is even more exciting now. The Skyliner is an attraction in itself, making getting from your Resort to Disney's Hollywood Studios and EPCOT so easy!
While I like to plan for at least an hour of transport time no matter where I'm heading around the Resort, especially if I have an
Advance Dining Reservation to get to, you'll find that jumping on the Disney Skyliner tends to get you to a few Parks much quicker! A great way to see transportation times is to jump on your My Disney Experience mobile account and click the second icon from the left at the bottom. This will populate an interactive map of the entire 40 square miles of the Walt Disney World Resort. Here, you'll be able to get directions and travel times to and from anywhere around the Resort.
From your Resort to the International Gateway at
EPCOT on the Disney Skyliner, the mobile app says you're looking at a transportation time of approximately 30 minutes. To
Disney's Hollywood Studios you'll ride the Skyliner for a quick 22-minute jaunt. To
Magic Kingdom Park and
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, you'll ride a Disney Bus, with transportation time taking around 48 minutes, and 41 minutes, respectively.
You'll also ride a bus to
Disney Springs, which again takes approximately 40 minutes. To reach Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park or Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park (depending on which is open during your visit) you'll most likely need to ride to Disney Springs and transfer to another bus for the
Water Parks, making your transportation time around 75 minutes.
Remember, buses run approximately every 20 minutes, which is accounted for within these times. To play it safe, especially for a tour, event, or dining reservation, plan to leave early and enjoy the ride!
