Now that Rose & Crown is offering the IllumiNations Dining Package on the patio, will the regular viewing area still be available after an inside dinner?

Greetings Emily! It sounds like you are busy planning your Walt Disney World trip...it will be here before you know it! As you're probably already aware, Epcot's beloved night-time spectacular, IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth, will be preparing for its final performance late this summer. This show has been entertaining visitors since 1999, and as an avid Epcot fan myself, I want to make sure I see it this summer too.

So, let's talk about viewing options. Rose & Crown Pub in the United Kingdom Pavilion has been the ultimate dining and viewing spot for IllumiNations, and there is stiff competition for those coveted patio tables. Starting January 17, a new Dining Package will be open for booking offering a prix fixe menu with seating on the patio. When I called Disney Dining, they weren't able to tell me whether guests who were seated inside would be able to go out and watch the show after dinner from the patio, but my sneaking suspicion tells me the answer is no.

An alternate suggestion would be to have dinner at Spice Road Table, where there is a view of the water from every single table through the floor to ceiling windows overlooking World Showcase Lagoon. Another view that rivals the one from Rose & Crown would be La Hacienda de San Angel at the Mexico Pavilion (ask for a window seat when you check in). For either of these locations, try to make a dinner reservation for about 1 hour and 15 minutes before showtime. You could also consider the Frozen Ever After Dessert Party, which is an additional cost, but includes a ride on Frozen Ever After (and sweet and savory food options).

Hope you're able to get a great viewing location this summer, Emily! Stop back again if you have any more questions!
