Are ALL rooms renovated at all star sports and all star music complexes or only partially? How do you find about pool closures for a resort BEFORE you book a resort?

Hiya, Cheryl, and welcome to planDisney! Your Walt Disney World Resort visit this fall will be here before you can say "Mickey Mouse," so let's look at Disney's All-Star Resorts to help you choose the most magical place to rest your ears.

I've stayed at Disney's All-Star Music Resort since its recent refurbishment, and it's pitch-perfect! I spoke to an in-tune Cast Member who said all rooms at this resort have undergone renovations so that project is complete. I love the major upgrades like the solid-surface flooring and glass shower doors, but I really appreciate the subtle touches like under-bed storage space and USB charging ports. And the coffee station is my favorite! In addition to everything you'll need for that morning cuppa, there's shelving for other snacks you'd like to store. I think you'll be pleased with the renovations here, Cheryl, and I'm not just tooting my own horn!

Disney's All-Star Sports Resort is one of our family favorites because my son played ALL the sports growing up. This was our go-to resort due to its fun, larger-than-life sports theming. I spoke to a slugger of a Cast Member who said All-Star Sports has yet to be refurbished, so that might be something to consider. It is the first All-Star Resort you come to, so the location is excellent, and that theming is a hole-in-one. I've also noticed the price can be slightly lower than the other two All-Star Resorts, so it comes down to what your family is looking for in a resort, Cheryl. If you'd like to compare the two, click the "Room Rates" tab for each resort and then click "View Photos" under the different room categories to see current photos of the rooms.

The best way to stay up-to-date on any pool closures or construction announcements is on the Walt Disney World website. When you click on a specific resort, if there is any information about that resort, such as closures, there should be a ticker in red near the top of the Overview page. You can also watch the Disney Parks Blog for announcements or call Disney Resort Hotel Reservations for the latest information.

Cheryl, I hope your upcoming visit hits all the high notes while also being a slam dunk! Please stop by planDisney anytime!

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
