Do the rooms in the Pop Century have a microwave?

Welcome to planDisney, Lynda, and Happy New Year to you and your family! Kicking off 2024 at Walt Disney World Resort is an excellent plan, so kudos to you. Disney's Pop Century Resort is one of my family's favorites, so let's look at those in-room touches that will make your room feel like home.

During my recent stay at this resort, our room had a mini-fridge to keep drinks cool and a coffee maker stocked with delicious Joffrey's products. When this resort was recently remodeled, the Imagineers made the best use of space, so the fridge and coffee maker are in a built-in unit I call the "kitchen nook." There are shelves above and counter space for all those snacks and drinks you might like to keep handy, but no microwave is provided.

I spoke to a helpful Cast Member who said there are a limited number of small microwaves that guests can request to use in their resort room. These are distributed on a first-come basis, so I suggest you call Disney Resort Hotel Reservations before you arrive to make that request. Cast Members can add a note to your reservation, and while it's not guaranteed you'll get a microwave, it never hurts to ask. You can also mention it at the front desk when you check in, and I'm sending pixie dust and piping-hot leftovers so you'll secure that appliance!

The Everything Pop Shopping and Dining location typically has a microwave guests can use, so that's another option for heating items. Any Cast Member can direct you and give you instructions on its use.

My husband is a huge fan of the Disney Skyliner, so Disney's Pop Century has become one of our go-to resorts. It makes getting to Disney's Hollywood Studios and EPCOT a literal breeze. We also enjoy strolling around Hourglass Lake on the paved jogging trail. It's a scenic way to reconnect and plan our Disney days.

Lynda, I hope your upcoming visit is too hot to handle! Please stop by planDisney anytime. We love helping guests almost as much as we love leftovers!

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
