Hello, Maurice! We’re so glad you stopped by planDisney!
Gran Destino Tower at
Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort has the feel of a Deluxe Disney Resort but at Moderate Resort prices. It's a hidden gem! Its design was inspired by Salvador Dalí, and you’ll even spot artwork of him and Walt Disney throughout the tower.
Now, let’s talk about the rooms! Most Gran Destino Tower rooms have walk-in showers, not bathtubs. However, if a bathtub is a must for your stay,
some ADA-accessible rooms include one. I recommend calling
Disney Resort Reservations, but just keep in mind that requests aren’t guaranteed. If you’re set on having a bathtub, the rooms in the original section of Coronado Springs (now called the Villages) do have them, so that might be a better fit.
If you find yourself on the 16th floor of Gran Destino Tower, I highly recommend stopping by
Toledo – Tapas, Steaks & Seafood for a meal with a view! The ceiling’s color-changing gradient is a fun touch. I love the olive trees in the center of the restaurant, as they are such a great nod to Spanish olive oil, which plays a big role in their dishes. If you’re up for an adventurous bite, the Charred Octopus is surprisingly good, but my go-to on the tapas section of the menu is the Pan con Tomate. And if you’re a coffee lover, don’t skip the Café Bombón, which is a rich, sweet Spanish coffee with condensed milk and is the perfect way to end a meal.
Wishing you a magical and well-rested stay, Maurice, whether that’s with a bathtub or just a relaxing rain shower! Let me know if you have any other questions.
