Are all rooms at AKL Jambo House being refurbished? I'm planning on staying in Fall 2020 and wondered if I'd still need to request a refurbished room or if they will all be done by then.

    Jambo Charlene!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. You are looking at one of my favorite Disney Vacation Club Resorts! My favorite part of the Resort is the animal Cast Members, but I also love the feeling of being away from everything while being smack in the middle of the Magic. The Resort is the perfect place to rest, relax, and recharge.

Walt Disney World is always looking for ways to improve it's Guests' experience, and one of those ways is through updating the Resorts. We stayed at Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Kidani Village in November, and the Resort was in full reno mode! Our Villa was gorgeous and newly renovated, and most of the construction work was happening outside. In spite of the busyness, the refurbishment never interfered with our magical vacation. Currently, Jambo House's renovation is slated to finish by the end of the yEAR in 2020, but that could change depending on The Mouse! (Remember, we've got ducks, dogs, and mice working to make the 'World amazing, so we've got to give them a bit of grace!).

If you would prefer to stay somewhere brand new, look no further than the gorgeous Disney's Riviera Resort that is opening in a few days! Some of my dEAR friends are staying there as we speak for a preview, and it is beautiful! They've been sending me videos and pictures, and I can't wait to experience it in person. You also get the benefit of staying on the Disney Skyliner route, which seamlessly connects you from the Resort to Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios.

Charlene, if you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to come back. We're all EARs!
