Hi, Latoya! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thanks so much for bringing your question to us. I always try to pay off our Walt Disney World Resort vacations ahead of time so that I do not have to worry about a thing once we arrive. All I have to do is focus on is making memories with my family! Room-only reservations only require a deposit equal to one night's stay to be secured. Then, the remainder can be paid at the time of check-in at your Disney Resort Hotel. However, there is a way to get this task checked off your to-do list ahead of time.
At this time, payments towards a room-only reservation balance cannot be completed online in My Disney Experience. To do this, you must
call into the Disney Reservation Center. If you prefer, you can wait until check-in to use Disney Gift Cards. If you plan to go this route, then you do not want to complete
Online Check-In prior to your arrival. When you complete Online Check-In, you must store a credit card that will be used for room balance and incidentals. In my experience, this card is charged the room reservation balance shortly after midnight on the morning of check-in. When you do not complete Online Check-In, then you will just need to head to the Front Desk upon arrival at your
Disney Resort Hotel to complete payment and receive your room assignment.
I hope this helps you plan for a magical arrival day at your Disney Resort Hotel! Thanks again for stopping by and please let us know if you have any other questions!
