If I have a room only reservation for 3 can I buy tickets for two people and not the other as they are older and just want to hang at resort.

    Hiya Becky!

Welcome back to planDisney, and thanks for visiting with your Disney World planning question today. How exciting that you're heading back to the Most Magical Place on Earth, woo hoo!

The answer to your question is yes. And you've got exactly the right strategy for that travel party situation. If you were to reserve a vacation package, with both Disney resort and theme park admission tickets, it would need to include the same park tickets for all three guests on the reservation. However, if you make a room only reservation as you mentioned, then you can do exactly as you describe! You will then separately purchase two park tickets, and link them to your My Disney Experience account. Be sure to keep an eye on the Special Offers page, maybe you can snag a nice room-only discount for your stay.

Did you know that all guests staying at Disney Resort in 2025 will receive free admission to a Disney Water Park on their arrival day? This would apply to all three guests in your room, if it works into your plans. Whether you wish to take it easy and float the lazy river, ride a thrilling coaster-like water slide, or just relax under an umbrella with a refreshing frozen drink by the wave pool... there's something for everyone to enjoy!

Becky, I hope this helps answer your question and that you have a practically perfect visit to Walt Disney World! Visit me any time at planDisney if I can assist further.

    Magical memories await!
