Welcome aboard, Lisa! Setting sail with Disney Cruise Line is going to be an amazing experience for your family! No matter where your stateroom is, you'll enjoy the comforts of a luxury hotel as you travel between ports. One of the best parts about visiting different ports of call with Disney Cruise Line is that you have your own home away from home and only have unpack once!
When we've sailed in various staterooms, the only time we could hear noise from decks nearby was when we were above the Oceaneer Club. It wasn't too loud, but every now and then we'd hear a loud cheer or sound effect. Being below louder areas hasn't been much of a sound problem for us, personally, so I hope that you won't experience that either. Of course it's always a possibility, but it sounds like you're planning for that, which is a great idea.
If you'd like to pack a small portable fan, you're welcome to do so just in case you find a little white noise would help you sleep. They are allowed, but with restrictions, as you will see on the
Prohibited Items List. Bring it along, but before you're able to use it in the stateroom, you'll need to have it inspected by Chief Electrician to ensure it is safe for the outlets in your stateroom. Just call or swing by Guest Services that first day to ask that this be done. If you're concerned about that, you can bring a small white noise machine which you can plug in each night. We used to have one of those when our kids were babies and it was so helpful in drowning out noise so the babies could sleep better!
Have fun with your planning as you get ready to enjoy a very magical cruise, Lisa! Please stop back again if you have any other questions before you set sail! We're happy to help!
