Want a room to fit for a family of 5. What is the sq footage of the Contemporary. Upgrading to the club level for the Polynesian-Grand Floridian - or Contemporary... 3 children 2 adults..is the upgrade worth it?

Hi, Gerry!  The standard rooms at the Contemporary Resort are about 422 square feet, and they are plenty big for my family of five.  There are two queen sized beds and a day bed, that is best for the smaller members of the family.

As for the upgrade to the club level, that is entirely up to whether or not the amenities provided are things you will use.  The biggest benefit is the club lounge.  You can easily make the continental breakfast offerings your morning meal, and there are snacks offered around lunch time, hors d'oeuvres and wine in the evening, and dessert and cordials after dinner.  It's a great way to relax, and can extend your food budget by a little bit.

The Polynesian club level offers some of the best Wishes viewing anywhere.  You'll also find other wonderful views at the Contemporary and the Polynesian.

The club levels offer things like separate check in, so there's no waiting, and you'll have turn down service, extra toiletries, and lush robes to use while you're on vacation.

If the space is more important than the club amenities, you might want to look into a Disney Vacation Club resort.  You can book your family into one of the villas, and find things like a full kitchen, washer and dryer, jacuzzi tub, and separate sleeping areas, which give you some more privacy.

You might also want to look into the family suites at the Art of Animation Resort.  This is a value resort, but the suites are spacious, with accommodations for up to six.

If you have any other questions, let me know!  I have stayed in every resort with my own family of five, and can let you know how they all worked for us!
