Does the room come equipped with an iron

Welcome to planDisney, Dawn! Allow me to be the first to roll out the red carpet as you arrive at Walt Disney World Resort; you'll be here any moment! We can't have you meet Mickey in a wrinkled tee, so let's talk about keeping your outfits neat and pretty during your visit.

Rooms at Disney Resort Hotels will have either an iron and an ironing board or a handheld steamer. These should be in your closet; feel free to reach out to Housekeeping if you'd prefer a different device during your stay. There's no guarantee, but Cast Members typically do all they can to make your stay magical!

Since I'm not sure where you'll be hanging your Minnie ears the next few days, I don't know what type of de-wrinkling device you'll have. In my experience, amenities can vary within a resort, so it's often a bit of pixie dust to see what you get. Coffee machines are another "wait and see" item. With thousands of rooms constantly being refurbished, I think of it as part of the fun!

I recently did a split stay, beginning at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort and moving to Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. In my room in the Gran Destino Tower at Coronado Springs, I had a full-sized iron and an ironing board in the closet; however, a handheld steamer awaited at Animal Kingdom Lodge.

For an idea of what to expect, you can click the blue "View Amenities" bar on the Room Rates tab for your Disney Resort Hotel. A drop-down list will show what's typically in your room category, but keep in mind it is a general list and may vary by room.

Dawn, I'm sending pixie dust and puffs of steam to ensure you have a spit-spot vacation. Please stop by planDisney anytime!

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
