Hi there, Nicole! It’s always a pleasure to help a fellow Pennsylvanian enjoy their Walt Disney World vacation!
Is there anything better than takeout pizza after a long park day? Especially after you’ve logged about 20,000 steps in the Florida sunshine! Since you’re staying at a Disney Vacation Club Resort, it’s such a treat to relax and enjoy dinner right in your villa (my favorite way to end the night, too).
While traditional in-room dining is only available at select Disney Resorts like Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, you still have some options at
Bay Lake Tower. You can use food delivery services such as DoorDash, Uber Eats, or Grubhub to have food brought right to the Resort. Most delivery drivers will meet you in the lobby. You can technically enter your room number in the app, but that often makes things slower since drivers can’t access the guest floors. Giordano’s is a fantastic choice for Chicago-style deep dish (just order early, since they’re popular!), and Flippers is another great option with classic pies.
If you’d rather skip delivery altogether, you’re just a short five-minute walk across the Skyway Bridge from
Contempo Café inside Disney’s Contemporary Resort. It’s on the fourth floor, right next to Chef Mickey’s, and you can order through Mobile Order or at the counter. Between the Mary Blair mural and the monorail gliding by overhead, it’s such a fun and classic Disney spot. The Vegetable Flatbread is my go-to when I’m trying to sneak in some veggies on vacation, but they also have Meat Lovers and Buffalo Chicken options, too!
One quick tip: if you find pizza flyers slipped under your door, be cautious before ordering. Some of those aren’t official businesses and could lead to credit card scams. It’s always best to stick with trusted delivery apps or the Resort’s dining options.
Enjoy your stay at Bay Lake Tower, Nicole! It’s one of my Disney Vacation Club “home” Resorts too, and that quick walk to Magic Kingdom never gets old.
See ya real soon,
Eean
