Is there in room childcare available to schedule at vacation club villas?

Hi Tanya, welcome home and welcome to planDisney! Darling, if only we had Edna Mode on call, your problems would be solved! But alas, she’s probably busy making suits for The Incredibles, so let’s talk through childcare options for your upcoming Disney Vacation Club villa stay!

Unfortunately, Walt Disney World and DVC do not provide in-room childcare at DVC Villas. However, don’t fret! You’ll be happy to know that the Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel offers childcare services through Camp Dolphin, located onsite at that hotel. This is for children ages 5 through 12 with drop off times between 4:00 and 5:00 PM and pickup times ranging from 9:00 through 11:00 PM. After dropping off, you can walk right into World Showcase to snack and drink around the world for that perfect EPCOT date night! And don't worry, I confirmed with hotel staff that this service is available to guests not staying at that hotel! You can find pricing details and how to reserve by clicking on the links under the “Know Before You Go” section of this website.

One other tip that I recommend, Tanya, is bringing along an extra adult. I know that this option might not be available for all families, but having a grandparent, aunt, uncle, or even an older cousin come along for the trip can make a trip more meaningful and special for your little ones. Most importantly, having that extra adult may also give you that opportunity to sneak away for a date night in the parks or a special dinner at a signature dining restaurant like Narcoossee’s or Jiko! We often bring my mother-in-law for when we stay at Walt Disney World, especially when we’re staying in a larger accommodation like a 1-bedroom DVC villa. She’s more than happy to watch our kids so my wife and I can have a date night in the parks, so long as we make time to ride her favorite ride, Living with the Land!

Tanya, I hope this gives you some insight and suggestions on childcare options for your upcoming DVC villa stay. If you have any further questions on Disney vacation planning, don’t forget to stop on by here at planDisney where my fellow panelists and I are happy to assist!
