    I am Roman Catholic and will be at WDW on Sunday, 27 September. Where must I go to attend Mass?

    Hi, Mary Anita!  I am headed into Philadelphia to see Pope Francis on the same day you will be celebrating your faith in the Walt Disney World Resort area, and while I expect to be crushed and trampled by the maddening crowds, there are two lovely Catholic Churches right near the resort area where you can go for a beautiful, peaceful Mass.

    The Basilca of the National Shrine of Mary Queen of the Universe is located just about a mile from Walt Disney World Resort property.  You can take a taxi or Uber to the Shrine, where they offer one Mass on Saturday evening at 6:00 PM or four Masses on Sunday (7:30, 9:30, 11 and 6).  I highly recommend that you give yourself some extra time to explore the Shrine.  It is absolutely stunning, with a 2000 seat main Church, a smaller chapel, a Mother and Child Outdoor Chapel, a museum and lovely walking paths.  It's a great place to enjoy some peaceful time to meditate or enjoy some quiet prayer in a variety of settings.

    Corpus Christi Catholic Church is located in Celebration.  Also a quick Uber ride from any of the Walt Disney World resorts, this warm and welcoming Parish offers a 4:30 Mass on Saturday evening, and three Sunday morning Masses (8:30, 10;30 and 12:15).  They also have a 5:30 Sunday evening Mass that offers contemporary music.
