Can I roller skate through Disney Springs?

    Hello Candace!

I have to start with the fact that roller skating or rollerblading around the Walt Disney World Resort does sound like fun! I have done a few of the runDisney endurance races partially because it was exciting to see the parks in a new and different way, so I understand the appeal!

I wish I could get you rolling through Disney Springs, Candace, but the official Walt Disney World Property Rules do state that, “Recreational devices such as drones, remote-control toys, skateboards, scooters, inline skates or shoes with built-in wheels” are prohibited items. This would include roller skates at Disney Springs. If you are staying at one of the Disney Resort Collection hotels, many resorts offer bike rentals, and bicycles are permitted in designated areas at those resorts. While you wouldn’t be able to ride your bike to Disney Springs, you would be able to enjoy some outdoor exercise at these resort hotels. There are also walking and running trails at many Disney Resort Hotels for your enjoyment.

While you won’t be on wheels at Disney Springs, I wish you a wonderful visit to the Walt Disney World Resort!
