Hi Lizzy!
Thanks for bringing this question to planDisney!
While the
Muppets will be taking over Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster in 2026, the classic attraction is still up and running to enjoy for a while longer.
An official closing date has not yet been announced; however, the
currently listed hours right around the time of your trip are showing that it should be operational while you’re there. Of course, this is always subject to change, so be sure to check your
My Disney Experience app while you’re at Disney World to see the available attractions.
It’s good to note that
Hollywood Studios is undergoing quite a few changes right now! There have been some exciting new shows that have debuted, as well as a couple of areas closed to make way for completely new experiences.
During your trip, you can expect the Grand Avenue area of the park (where the Muppets’ home used to be!) to be closed and currently under construction. Monsters, Inc. will be moving into that area!
A good chunk of Animation Courtyard will also be closed and reimagined into
“The Magic of Disney Animation.” But, there’s one area of Animation Courtyard that will be available, and that’s the new show,
The Little Mermaid–A Musical Adventure.
There’s also another new show to check out at the park…
Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After. That show is actually located right next to Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, so it would be easy to swing by there afterwards.
I hope that gives you an idea about what to expect during your visit to Hollywood Studios. And I hope you have the best time! Let us know if you have any other questions. We’re always happy to help!
