What rivera resort tower studio room is best for epcot fireworks viewing?

Hi Eric, and thanks for bringing your question to planDisney! I stayed in one of the Tower Studios a few years ago and was impressed by the design. It really maximizes the small space! So, let’s talk about watching EPCOT’s nighttime spectacular from your room.

All of the Riviera Resort Tower Studios on higher floors should have some view of Luminous (the view from the lower floors will be mostly blocked by trees). The standard layout at Riviera Resort has three Tower Studios on most floors, which are located next to each other. If you’re facing towards the outside of the building, the rooms all the way to the left have a view of the Skyliner, and you can look out to the right side of your balcony to see Luminous. The rooms in the middle have the most direct view of the fireworks in the distance. And the rooms all the way to the right have the most direct view of Spaceship Earth, with the fireworks towards the left.

If you booked your room on the Disney World website, you can add a room request to your reservation by calling the Tickets and Hotel Reservations phone number. And if you booked through Disney Vacation Club using your membership, you can add a request by contacting Member Services. While room requests aren’t guaranteed, Cast Members will do their best to grant your wish! I’d recommend requesting a room on a higher floor for the best chance at seeing Luminous over the trees, but not specifying a specific room number. In my experience, you’ll have a better chance at getting the view you want with a broader request. This is especially important with the Tower Studios since there aren’t that many of them, and Cast Members will have less flexibility when assigning your room.

Just in case you don’t end up with a Luminous view, I also love to watch EPCOT’s nighttime spectacular from the balcony at Topolino’s Terrace. You don’t even need a reservation! You can grab a drink from the bar and head out to the balcony, where you’ll find an area with couches. There’s a beautiful view of the sunset, and they also pipe in the music during Luminous.

You’re staying at Riviera Resort at the practically perfect time since the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival will be underway in September, and it's just one Skyliner stop away! In case you missed it, Disney Parks Blog recently released their festival foodie guide, so you can start browsing the menus and getting excited for your trip.

I hope you have a magical stay at Riviera Resort next month! And if you have any other questions, you’re always welcome back at planDisney.
