How does rides work with service dogs? Someone mentioned that rides where they are not allowed that there will be a crate for them. Is this correct?

    Hi Sadye!

The Walt Disney World Resort wants all guests to be able to enjoy their time in the parks, so they do everything they can to accommodate guests who require service animals.  Guests with service animals are welcome at most locations throughout the parks and the Walt Disney World Resort Hotels.  There are rides on which service animals are allowed to accompany their owners and others on which service animals are permitted with caution.

Of course, some of the attractions in the Walt Disney World Resort would not be safe for a service animal.  If you choose to experience these attractions on which service animals are not allowed, you have a couple of options.  The first option is to have someone in your party wait outside of the attraction with the service animal.  If you choose to do this, you can then take advantage of Rider Switch.  Your second option is to take advantage of the portable kennels that are available at some rides.  In either case, make sure to ask a Cast Member about your options when you arrive at the attraction.  Remember, Cast Members are not allowed to take control of a service animal, but they will do everything they can to make your experience magical!

Have a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow!
