Hello again, Shilene, and welcome back to planDisney!
Thanks for submitting another question to us and it's a pleasure to hear from you! I'm excited to see you preparing for a festive
Holiday Season visit to the Disneyland Resort and I'm glad to be able to assist you.
I am in total agreement with you and I think early mornings are the absolute best time to be enjoying the Theme Parks! If you can make Rope Drop, I definitely recommend it because it'll feel like you have the Park nearly to yourselves for a few hours. At Rope Drop, the Park is officially open and all attractions should then be operating, barring any technical issues that might delay it. Some attractions (like
Davy Crockett's Explorer Canoes) may not open immediately and some are seasonal. But in general, all attractions should be open when Rope Drop happens. If you're worried about what might or might not be available, I would recommend checking the
Disneyland Mobile App first thing in the morning. You'll be able to see which attractions are accepting Guests at that time. You can also check the
Daily Events Schedule which is updated about six weeks in advance.
If you're a Guest of one of the Disneyland Resort Hotels and take advantage of Early Entry, not all attractions will be open. This
attraction list will help you plan this extra special time before the general public is admitted into the Park. At Disneyland Park, I like going to
Peter Pan's Flight whereas in Disney California Adventure, I try to make it to
WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure.
Don't forget to make your
dining reservations 60 days before each day of your visit. The entire Resort will be decked out for the Holidays and you'll be feeling festive in no time! It's one of the most beautiful times at the Resort and the Cast Members do such a phenomenal job of decorating. I love
A Christmas Fantasy Parade and you'll be humming the song long after the parade ends!
Shilene, I hope this has helped you with your planning and please feel free to send us more questions if you need more help! We'd love to hear from you and continue being involved in your vacation. Until next time!
Wishing You a Great, Big, Beautiful Tomorrow!
