Hi Carly!
Welcome to planDisney! Your visit to the Happiest Place on Earth is coming up soon and I bet you're getting excited and counting down the days - I would be!
Before any visit to Disneyland, I always want to know which attractions might be unavailable to experience while I'm there. This helps alleviate any disappointments, especially for my young kids but, let's be honest, for me too. You're asking a great question, Carly!
Dates are released for attraction closures six weeks out but it's important to know that they can change at any time. I took a quick peek at the
Daily Events Schedule for you, and it looks like, for the entire month of February, the following attractions will be closed for refurbishment: Disneyland Monorail, Disneyland Railroad, Grizzly River Run, "it's a small world," and
The Disneyland Story presenting Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln.
I encourage you though, Carly, to check the
Daily Events Schedule on the Disneyland website for your specific dates ("Change Date" at the top and then look under "Closed for Refurbishment" at the bottom), as there may be additional closures during your visit. Remember that closures are subject to change, so not a bad idea to continue checking the calendar, right up until your visit, especially if there's a particular attraction you've got your heart set on.
But the
events calendar is not just for attraction closures, but fun stuff too including park hours, entertainment offerings, and any events that may be occurring during your visit, like my very favorite
Lunar New Year Celebration in California Adventure! Every day from now through February 16 there are so many
delicious bites to try and special activities to experience. My
planDisney pal, Q, was just in the park this weekend and recommends finding a spot near Avengers Campus for the 5:30pm presentation of
Mulan's Lunar New Year Procession. It's dazzling when those sunset colors hit just right, and oh so beautiful.
Well, Carly, I hope that's helpful! And from the bottom of my heart, I wish you the most magical visit.
See you real soon,
McCayla
