Brad,
Thanks for asking your question to planDisney!
Yes, many of the attractions at the
Magic Kingdom Park will be open during
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party! As a matter of fact, one of the great perks of the party is that with fewer guests in the park than during a typical day, those attraction lines are typically shorter, giving you time to hit rides, watch the parade, and enjoy the fireworks.
I am going to attend the Christmas Party this year, and I am excited not just for the rides, but also for the holiday themed decor, the special character interactions, and of course the fireworks! Remember that even if you are not going to the Magic Kingdom that day as part of your normal plans, you can use that special event ticket to get into the Magic Kingdom starting at 4 pm. And no, you don't have to use another standard theme park ticket to get in. The special event ticket covers that.
However, if you are just a daytime guest on a standard ticket and are not purchasing a special event ticket to the party, the posted closing time for the park would still apply to you.
BONUS TIP #1On the web page for
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, Disney lists a few of the attractions that will be available. This is not a comprehensive list, and it can change, but it gives you a few ideas of what you will be able to do during the party.
