Hello! For rider switch, when it is adult B’s turn on the ride, can child A (who has already gone on the ride with adult A) go on the ride again with adult B? It wont be much fun for adult B to go by themselves.

Happy Holidays, Christine, and welcome to planDisney!

What a special visit you have coming up to the Happiest Place on Earth so soon! I'm thrilled you'll be able to share this magical place together. With all there is to experience and explore, I'm really glad that you're planning ahead. Thank you for your great question.

As you mentioned, with Rider Switch, eligible Guests may take turns experiencing an attraction while one party waits outside the queue and the remainder of their party waits in the queue. Once the first party returns from riding, the remaining Guest may board the attraction without having to wait in the standard queue. After the first group from your party has experienced an attraction, the kind family member who waited can take up to one additional Guest with them for their turn - even if the plus one had already experienced it! So, to answer your question simply - yes! The child who has already experienced the attraction may go again with the adult who didn't.

Rider Switch is available at most attractions throughout the Disneyland Resort, but not all. I suggest speaking with the Cast Member at the entrance of the attraction to check if Rider Switch is available. They'll be happy to assist you!

There were a handful of times my youngest son did not meet the height requirement for certain attractions during our family's first visit to Disneyland and, while that could have been seen as a bummer, it actually turned out to be very special one-on-one time my husband and I each got to have with him! We made a "date" out of it and treated ourselves to a Jack-Jack Cookie Num Num or a quick hello to Lightning McQueen in Cars Land. I'm so excited for you all.

You're going to love the Holidays at Disneyland Resort, Christine! I just returned from a magical visit and one of my personal highlights was experiencing "it's a small world" Holiday. As we traveled from place to place, my planDisney pal, Q, revealed that there are five distinct scents - which made the ride so much more immersive. My favorite was in the South Seas!

Christine, I hope this has been helpful information. If you have any other questions or would like some additional tips or recommendations, like my favorite holiday treats or strategies to make sure you hit all your top priorities, don't hesitate to reach out again anytime! I wish you the most magical visit!

    Warmest wishes,
    McCayla

My love of Disneyland began as a little girl on Peter Pan's Flight and only grows with each visit. But even when I'm not physically at the Happiest Place on Earth, I truly feel that same joy when I can help others (YOU!) experience the magic of Disneyland Resort too.
