Is rider swap available during Magic Kingdom's extra magic hours?

    Hi Phillip!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. The Rider Switch Service is a great way to make sure everyone in your party can still enjoy the more thrilling attractions when traveling with a little mouseketeer!

The purpose of the Rider Switch Service is to allow everyone in a party to enjoy an attraction without needing to wait in a queue twice. If queues are not long, usually less than 10 or 15 minutes, Rider Switch may not be available because the second Guest wouldn't really have to wait with such a short queue time. During Extra Magic Hours, queue lines are usually fairly short so you may find that Rider Switch is not available, not because of the Extra Magic Hours, but because of the queue length. For attractions like Seven Dwarfs Mine Train that can still have a significant wait even during Extra Magic Hours, then the Rider Switch Service would still be available. It will depend on the day you visit and the crowd level, so please just double check with the Cast Member on availability at that time.

Please let us know if we can help in any other way before your visit!
