Why hello there Maddie and welcome to planDisney!
From the sounds of it, you're one of those very early morning risers looking to take advantage of
Early Theme Park Entry for Disney Resort Hotel Guests - which can be very handy to get a head start on some of the most popular attractions and experiences in Magic Kingdom Park! During your visit in the first week of March, your
Early Entry time is currently scheduled for 8:30 a.m. on the Hours & Events Calendar and the welcome show "Let the Magic Begin" is scheduled for 8:55 a.m. on the Cinderella Castle stage.
Now you'll be happy to hear that the
Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover is not only scheduled to be open during Early Theme Park Entry, but it's also not particularly one of the rides or attractions that crowds tend to flock to first thing in the morning so you're not likely to encounter too much of a wait to hop on. In the interest of research I took the opportunity during my
Magic Kingdom Park visit this week to test this out myself, and here's what I can share about what you can expect:
- Let the Magic Begin is scheduled to take place in the five minutes prior to Magic Kingdom Park opening to guests not using Early Entry, but in my personal experience it's really less than three minutes in length overall. Our Character friends emerge from Cinderella Castle to welcome everyone, and at about the halfway point just over one minute into the welcome show, Mickey starts a countdown before a single burst of pyrotechnics is released on either side of the castle as they all say "Let the magic begin!".
- There are only a few moments during the ride itself when you'll be able to see Cinderella Castle in the distance, with the first glimpse just after passing the entrance to Tomorrowland about two minutes into your journey. Later in the ride, it can be spotted on the way to TRON Lightcycle / Run as you head past the Tomorrowland Speedway but unfortunately buildings, trees and dense foliage all hide the view of the stage from the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover. The longest look you'll have will be just after your ride vehicle passes through Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin, so if you're very lucky with your timing, you just might be able to glimpse that burst of pyrotechnics that will signal the start of the thousands of other theme parks guests streaming their way into Magic Kingdom Park once you have completed your ride.
I hope that this helps you Maddie, I personally think that one of the more interesting moments to plan for a neat view from this ride is during
Happily Ever After to see the fireworks from a higher vantage point and the chance to see Tinker Bell flying your way near the end!
Whatever you choose to do, I wish you all the best on your early morning adventuring!
