Hello there Peter,
Welcome to planDisney! Thanks for visiting with your question, we are always happy to help fellow guests with their planning. Your magical Disney World vacation will be here before you know it. I hope you've got a countdown in place, it's part of the fun!
Disney at times uses
virtual queues to help minimize the amount of time guests have to stand in line for new or in-demand attractions. It's smart to be aware of this! That way you can plan ahead in case a virtual queue is being required for an attraction you'd like to experience. Joining a virtual queue is free, but it does require guests to log on to the
My Disney Experience app starting at 7:00 AM on the day of their park visit to "join a queue".
I've got some good news! At this time, there are no virtual queues being used for any experiences at Walt Disney World. However... things can always change. So I recommend that you check "Virtual Queue" in the My Disney Experience app just before your visit —and maybe even again before 7:00 AM on the day of your visit— to learn whether a virtual or standby queue will be required or available for any attractions or experiences when you’re here.
One thing my family really enjoys using is the
Lighting Lane Multi Pass, particularly on our Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios days. You get to select three favorite attractions where you'd like to skip the stand by line. This saves time, and we find it helps us pack so much more into our Disney day! I try to select an early return time on our first attractions. Then as soon as we tap in, I immediately log on to the My Disney Experience app... and grab another Lightning Lane pass! Plus, those additional, same day passes have no category restrictions. This is a great way to maximize the value of your Lightning Lane purchase.
Peter, I hope this helps and that you have a wonderful time at Disney World! Sending pixie dust your way, and please send me another
message at planDisney if I can assist with anything further.
Magical memories await,
Tami
