Can you ride the monorail if you don't have a theme park ticket?

    Welcome to planDisney, Daniel!

Daniel, I am happy to tell you that you do NOT need a theme park admission ticket to take a quick trip on the monorail. In fact, one of my family's favorite things to do on a non-park day is to have dinner at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel located on the monorail loop. Once we are finished with dinner we hop on the monorail and take a ride to a different resort and simply walk around and enjoy visiting somewhere new before grabbing dessert at one of the quick service locations.

The three resorts located on the monorail loop are Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, and Disney's Contemporary Resort. The monorail station at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort will be undergoing refurbishment shortly and may be unavailable; however, there is a beautiful walking path that connects Disney's Polynesian Village Resort to Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, if you want to see all three resorts.

Daniel, please note that to park at any Walt Disney World Resort hotel, you must either be a guest staying at that resort or have a dining reservation

I hope that this helped, Daniel. Please come back here to planDisney if we can help as you plan your fabulous vacation to Walt Disney World Resort.

    See you real soon!
