Hello Bailey!
Welcome to planDisney! A bicycle is always a lovely way to travel, especially on a gorgeous sunny day at The Most Magical Place on Earth, the
Walt Disney World Resort!
Bailey, per the
Walt Disney World Property Rules, bikes are allowed in
designated areas only at select
Disney Resort Collection Hotels. Several resorts have bike and walking paths and even offer bike rentals. However, these areas are confined to the resort hotel area and you would not be able to ride your bike to
Magic Kingdom from
Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. This is a fairly busy sidewalk filled with Guests and strollers, and there is also a security checkpoint between the resort and Magic Kingdom. While a bike ride is certainly more fun, the distance between the two locations is quite short and makes an easy walk. I would estimate it to be about a 10-15 minute walk at a leisurely pace.
If a
bike ride is something that would enhance your vacation, I highly recommend you consider a visit to
Fort Wilderness. There are beautiful tree-lined paths here perfect for a ride. You could use your bike or rent. Please know that per Florida law, all riders age 16 and younger are required to wear a helmet. Helmets are included with the bike rental.
Wishing you a magical visit to the Walt Disney World Resort, Bailey!
Happy Trails!
