Are reusable utensils allowed through the security check point, mainly butter knives? I have a full set of metal utensils I take with me to use instead of plastic ones and would like confirmation of metal butter knives are permitted.

    Howdy Kate!

Welcome to planDisney, and thanks for stopping by with your question for us.

The Walt Disney Company has made strides in helping the environment in its conservation efforts. I believe that we all have a social responsibility and love that you like using reusable cutlery! I like to bring my own reusable straw to the parks, and find it comforting to see more Guests doing the same!

Kate, although you can absolutely take your reusable spoon and fork into the theme parks, unfortunately, knives of any sort are prohibited, as stated under the Disneyland Resort Property Rules, and would not be allowed.

Did you know that the Walt Disney Company has worked diligently to eliminate single-use plastics, such as reducing plastic shopping bags, in-room plastics, as well as single-use plastic straws at theme parks around the globe? It’s helped me teach and inspire my own Mouseketeers about the importance of our conservation efforts!

We can’t wait to welcome you to the magic, Kate! Have an enchanting visit.
