Hi we are returning to WDW for our 8th visit i would like to get my 5 year old daughters hair braided is there any where other than BBB. Also i read some where that you can have face painting done in MK during MNSSHP thanks by the way i love the moms panel

    Hi Sharon,

The BBB does hair styling for young girls, but they don't actually do braiding. The only places that do braiding at WDW are the full salons in the deluxe resorts. This is time consuming and you should make a reservation in advance. If this is what you want, please write back and I'll be happy to provide you with contact information.

For children, a good, less expensive alternative would be a hair wrap. This involves covering a strand of the child's hair with colorful string and beads. This can be done at poolside stands at several of the hotels as well as at a stand at the Animal Kingdom. There is lots of information about this on the independent website blog.touringplans.com. Search for "Hair Wraps."

There are face painting stands available at all four theme parks everyday. There are dozens of design choices available, usually priced in the $10 to $15 range. There used to be free face painting at MNSSHP, but this has not been offered recently.

Good luck with your planning. Please let us know what else we can do to help.
