We are returning to Port Orleans Riverside and have made a reservation for a river view Royal room. We may be in building 95. If that is the case, will we truly have a full view of the river or will it be more a view of the walkway?

Hi Heni, welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I am excited to see you are heading back to Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside. It is my favorite Moderate level Walt Disney World Resort hotel. We have stayed in the Royal Rooms in Oak Manor (Mansion building 90) twice and have found the rooms to be situated in a great location at the Resort.

The River View booking category at the Resort will guarantee you a room with direct views of the Sassagoula River, including some rooms which overlook the courtyards or lawns in front of the river. Generally, the rooms that are closest to and facing the river are included in this booking category. However, there are some River View rooms on the third floor in both Oak Manor and Parterre Place that are further back but directly face the river. You are welcome to call Disney Reservations and ask the Cast Member to put in a room request for you, if you would prefer to be in a specific building or have a specific room area in mind. When looking at room location requests, I use a great tool found at www.touringplans.com. Do a search on that site for "room finder" and click on the link for your Resort. You can see which rooms are generally included in specific room view booking categories and what the view would be from specific rooms. Just remember that any request you place on your room reservation is only a request and cannot be guaranteed!

I am sure you will be pleased with whatever room you are assigned. If you do have any issues with your room, just pop over to speak with one of the front desk Cast Members and I am sure they will be happy to help you in any way possible. I hope you have a magical vacation and let us know if you have any further questions.
