I have just returned from a Disney Cruise and booked one for next year, my question is Eastern Carribean or Western Carribean, I am unsure of the stops in Mexico so am leaning toward the St Thomas venture, just wanted to see if anyone had gone on both.

Welcome back from your cruise on the Disney Magic, Katheryne! I'm so glad you enjoyed it so much that you've already booked another cruise with Disney! If you're considering the Eastern Caribbean sailing, you'll be traveling on Disney's newest cruise ship, the Fantasy. The Fantasy does both Western and Eastern sailings.

If you're at all unsure about the Mexican stops, then go for the Eastern itinerary, Katheryne! St. Maarten and St. Thomas/St. John are gorgeous ports with so much to offer, and of course you'll get to go back to Castaway Cay! I must say, though, that the Western Caribbean has a lot to offer as well. My family really enjoys our port stops in Grand Cayman and Cozumel. Cozumel is a unique spot in Mexico, as it is an island unto itself with many beautiful beaches, Mayan ruins, and all sorts of other fun things to explore. I don't feel any less safe there than I do in any of the other ports. Especially since we stick with Disney's Port Adventures. I know those are well planned and orchestrated to provide not only the best experience for guests, but also for safety.

Honestly, Katheryne, just setting sail again with Disney will be wonderful no matter where you decide to go. As long as my family is onboard one of Disney's ships, we don't care too much about the itinerary as we know we'll have an amazing vacation. Take a look at the Port Adventures for both Eastern and Western Caribbean ports. Maybe a couple will stick out as must-do's and that might help you make your decision.

Keep me posted as you begin planning your next cruise, Katheryne!
