Can I return a blanket purchased at Mt Everest Gift Shop in Animal Kingdom without a receipt; all tags are on the blanket?

Hi, Angelika! Welcome to the Himalayas (sorry I couldn't resist) and to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Like you, I love to shop when I'm at Walt Disney World Resort, "yet-i" understand that sometimes those purchases don't work out. I'm happy to help with your situation.

I spoke with Disney Parks Merchandise Guest Services today. The representative said that if you're still at Walt Disney World Resort and you take the blanket back to any merchandise location (it doesn't have to be the Serka Zong Bazaar), then the return will be up to the Cast Member's discretion. Most likely, if the item shows no signs of wear, they will offer you a merchandise credit for its full value to be used at the Parks.

If, however, you've already arrived at home, then I suggest calling (877) 560-6477, and have them do a "Receipt Look Up." You'll be asked a few questions to help determine an approximate date that you bought the blanket (this inquiry process may take 1-2 weeks). If you stayed at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel and used your MagicBand to make the purchase, they may be able to pull up the receipt on your Guest Folio. The return must be made within 30 days of purchase, and you'll need to pay a $4.95 shipping and handling fee (prices are always subject to change without notice).

I hope this helps, Angelika! Stop by and visit us again real soon!
