Erin,
Bright Suns!
We are so excited to hear that you will be visiting us on our exotic planet of
Batuu! Being dressed for our unique planet environment can make for a far more enjoyable experience, so thank you for asking what acceptable attire would be for your visit. Our friends at the
Disney Parks Blog were kind enough to share what our recommendations and guidelines might be, so that you may fit in with the natives.
Of course any younglings aged 13 and under can go with their favorite costumes, with a few requests related to what kinds of masks they might choose. As for any bounty hunter, Jedi in training, or even (gulp!) storm trooper recruit who is over 13, full costumes are not allowed. However, all we fashion-forward travelers are not only allowed but
encouraged to dress as inspired by our favorite heroes (or villains). There are
general guidelines also available for visits to Walt Disney World. However, I think the communication from our friends at the Blog will show you that while traditional "costumes" are not allowed, your ability to craft a themed outfit that makes you know you are on your galactic adventure is going to match your planned fashion statement!
Please feel free to
write me back directly if you have any follow-up questions.
