How restricted is the dining plan? I read that restaurants have a separate menu for guest with the dining plan? is it that restricted? where can I see their menu options. I just want to make sure it's worth it.

Hi, Leslye!  With very few exceptions, guest on the dining plan can enjoy everything on the regular dining menu at any of the participating Walt Disney World restaurants.  There is not a special menu designed only for guests on the dining plan.

The locations that have a prix fixe menu, including an appetizer, entree, and dessert, usually allow you to order the prix fixe menu with an upcharge (the dining plan doesn't include an appetizer typically).  You also won't be able to order meals for one person that are meant for more than one person.  At Restaurant Marrakesh, the Royal Feast also requires an upcharge, as that includes an appetizer as well.

If there is a special item on the menu that might not be included in the dining plan, your server will let you know immediately.  Each server inquires before you order anything if you are on the dining plan, and they can walk you through your order.

While Walt Disney World doesn't keep a list of menus on the official website due to frequent changes, you can get a pretty good idea of what a typical menu looks like by visiting allears.net.  They do a pretty good job of keeping on top of menu changes.

Have a great time, and enjoy your dining experiences!
