What restaurants at Walt Disney World have sweet tea? We have a friend travelling with us that loves sweet tea.

    Jambo, Janice.

Sip sip hooray! I’m so glad you stopped by planDisney today! From one southern gal who is an avid sweet tea-drinker to another, I completely understand your friend wanting to know where she can get a tall glass of sweet tea at Walt Disney World Resort. In fact, around my hometown, I’m known as somewhat of a sweet tea sommelier and can be picky when it comes to which tea I’ll drink. Because of this, I set off on a quest to find the best freshly-brewed sweet tea this side of Space Mountain and am happy to share what I consider the holy grail. Now, many Quick-Service dining locations have sweet and unsweet Gold Peak Tea available, but these are my top two picks to get the par-TEA started:

    1. Garden Grill Restaurant in EPCOT receives my “Best Sweet Tea in Walt Disney World Resort” award, hands-down! You can tell it’s brewed fresh throughout the day and has the perfect ratio of tea to sugar. Not only is the tea top-notch, but the food is delicious, the restaurant rotates with a view of Living With the Land below, and you get to meet Mickey, Pluto, and Chip ‘n’ Dale. It’s one of my favorite restaurants on property.
    2. 50’s Prime Time Café in Disney’s Hollywood Studios is the one restaurant I have to dine at every time I come “home” to Walt Disney World Resort. They serve homestyle cooking with a side of sass, humor, and 1950s kitschy decor. Their onion rings and pot roast are delicious, but their sweet tea and Peanut Butter & Jelly Milk Shakes are the stars of the show!
Whispering Canyon Café at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, Steakhouse 71 in Disney’s Contemporary Resort, and Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’ in Disney Springs all have freshly-brewed sweet tea at the ready as well. The tea at Liberty Tree Tavern in Magic Kingdom Park is not sweetened, but it is seriously delicious and worth a try.

Janice, I hope this information helps satisfy your friend’s sweet tea tooth on your vacation. If I can answer any other questions before you arrive, please let me know. Have a TEA-rrific trip and a brew-tea-ful day!

    Until we meet again,
    Alyssa
