Hi Matthew, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
Over the past few years, I have noticed that when Walt Disney World Resort vacation packages are released in the summer for the following year, some dining locations seem to be "missing" from the list of
Disney Dining Plan participants. I have seen more locations added as the year goes on. There a quite a few dining locations, especially at
Epcot and
Disney Springs, that are independently owned and operated. While I of course have no knowledge of any corporate negotiations, I suspect that Disney Dining Plan details for 2020 are still in the process of being finalized.
I think your hunch is spot on. Although
participating locations do change from time to time, if a dining location is listed as participating in the 2019 Disney Dining Plan, there is a strong likelihood it will also be a 2020 participant.
I would check your selected dining locations again closer to the end of this year by clicking the link on each restaurant's web page where you see the words "Some Dining Plans Accepted", just above the menu icon. As an example,
here is the page for 50's Prime Time Café. You may also call 407-WDW-DINE (939-3463) to check with a Cast Member.
I hope that helps! Please let us know if we can answer any additional questions as you
plan your vacation.
Have a wonderful visit!
Anne Marie
