Welcome to planDisney, Lindsey!
There's only five months to go until you're in the middle of the magic, which means it's the perfect time to start dreaming of all the delicious food you'll be eating. Dining is such an integral part of a Walt Disney World Resort vacation and with what seems like endless possibilities, it can be hard to choose. The good news is there's something to suit everyone's tastes, budget and dietary needs. Did you know that tasty
vegetarian and vegan food offerings can be found on most menus on property? Plus, the incredible chefs at Walt Disney World Resort are able to accommodate
food allergies of all kinds, even creating dishes catered to special dietary requests? It's true! There's truly nowhere else in the world that does dining like Disney!
Over the past 10 years, my family and I have tried our fair share of restaurants across Walt Disney World Resort. We have our go-tos, but we also like to sample new fare. The best meal we've ever had on property was at
'Ohana in Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. They serve a variety of delectable Polynesian foods with stunning views. I highly recommend you try it out, but here are some additional recommendations based on our favorite types of dining experiences on property.
Character Dining options give you the opportunity to see some of your favorite Disney characters and take photos of them from a distance. Keep in mind that characters are subject to change.
- I recently dined at Be Our Guest Restaurant in Magic Kingdom Park for my niece's birthday, and all 10 of us were blown away by the exceptional quality of the French cuisine. They even had a white chocolate teacup with edible paints and a paintbrush for my niece's dessert. She had a blast painting her own design before devouring it! Since you're dining inside the Beast's castle, don't be surprised if he makes a special appearance or two as you enjoy your meal.
- Garden Grill Restaurant in EPCOT is a personal favorite. Where else can you enjoy a yummy family-style meal in a restaurant that rotates inside an attraction AND meet Mickey, Pluto, Chip and Dale?
Walt Disney World Resort is known for its
Unique/Themed Dining options that deliver a one-of-a-kind dining experience unlike any other.
- Space 220 Restaurant is EPCOT's newest offering where you can blast off into the stars and dine aboard a space station while looking down on Earth below. It's sure to be an experience you won't forget!
- 50's Prime Time Café in Disney's Hollywood Studios serves a selection of American comfort food and transports you back to the 1950s. Even the servers here play a part in the storytelling, so it's sure to be a swell time. Definitely give it a try!
If you prefer more refined cuisine and fine dining, there are numerous
Fine/Signature Dining options on property as well. Happy eating, Lindsey!
