Is there a restaurant at one of the resorts that would give us a good view of MK fireworks? Maybe outdoor dining?

    Sally,

There are no resort restaurants with outdoor dining that face the Magic Kingdom. However there are a few options that might get you close to your wishes. (Get it? Wishes - the fireworks show? Ha!)

The first of these is the California Grill. Sitting atop the Contemporary Resort, it has amazing views of the fireworks show. They even dim the resort lighting and pipe in the show soundtrack. On top of that, you can get the "al fresco" experience by going out onto their outdoor balcony to watch. There is no seating there, but it is a wonderful way to experience the show.

The second option is to go to 'Ohana, in the Polynesian resort. It has views of the fireworks show from their main dining room.

Third, you go could opt for Narcoossee's in the Grand Floridian. But be warned that if your seats face the Magic Kingdom you may still not see the show. When the fireworks erupt the patio gets filled with standing onlookers, so you are likely to have your view blocked. What you can do is dine, then go out ahead of the crowds with a nightcap for the show.

Finally, you could always dine at a restaurant in the Polynesian or Grand Floridian, then just catch the show from one of the area beaches or public spaces. That way you eat food that appeals and still get the show if you time it right.

Write me back if you need more suggestions!

Have a magical (and delicious) vacation!
