What if the Restaurant you want is not allowing you to make a reservation? Can you still go to the Restaurant? If so and it is on a walk-in basis generally how long are the waits for the more popular Restaurants?

Hi Doug! Most Walt Disney World restaurants do have last-minute availability for walk-up guests, but I can't guarantee you'll get a table at a popular restaurant without a reservation. Many guests do cancel reservations a few days in advance to avoid being charged a fee at many of the popular restaurants, so be persistent in checking online for availability. Also, try searching for "lunch" or "dinner" rather than for a specific time on the online reservation system -- you'll often find more availability that way.

If you're unable to score a table at your desired restaurant, your best bet at getting into a popular restaurant is to arrive at the beginning of the meal service hours or toward the end of the service hours, since tables are less likely to be full during off-peak times. For example you're more likely to have breakfast at Chef Mickey's if you show up at 7 a.m. or towards 11 a.m. and you can often get a reservation at the booked solid Be Our Guest if you arrive early in the afternoon to inquire about tables for that evening.  Wait times can vary widely depending on the restaurant and the day, so it's hard for me to give you a general amount of time you'll wait. Your best bet is to keep trying for a reservation, even at the last minute, so you'll avoid waiting at all.

Wishing you a magical vacation! Come visit us again at the Moms Panel if you have more questions! We'd love to help!
