Which restaurant is a better choice for dinner? Coral Reef, Kona Cafe, La Hacienda de san Angel, or Teppan Edo? We will be a family of 4 w/ DD4 and a 2 month old for our trip next May and looking for a wonderful experience as well:)

Hi, Connie!  You've got a great collection of restaurants that you are choosing among, and I think I'd be happy with any of your choices!

My family loves Teppan Edo, but before I took the girls to this particular restaurant, I took them to a local Japanese hibachi grill restaurant to help familiarize them with what to expect.  They prefer to seat children at the corners of the table, because you are seated right at the hibachi grill, and little hands would not be happy if they found out how hot the grill can get!  It would be difficult for them to reach from the corners, unless you have an exceptionally tall toddler.  Know also that at some points in the cooking process, you can feel a bit of heat on your cheeks!  That might be scary to some children.

While I have not yet eaten at La Hacienda de san Angel, I am hearing wonderful reviews of this brand new Mexican restaurant!  If you are planning a late dinner, you may be able to enjoy the nightly showing of Illuminations through the huge windows, and there are several kid friendly options on the children's menu.  This might be a perfect spot to end the evening!

Coral Reef also holds great appeal for children, as they can gaze in wonder at the sea life that surrounds them.  My kids spend more time watching the fish than eating their meals here, but it is a beautiful restaurant.

I love Kona, but breakfast is my favorite meal there.  You'll find a great dinner menu, and it's got easy access from the Magic Kingdom or EPCOT, but there isn't as much here to hold a child's attention.

    Have a great vacation!
