Hi, Paula! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you so much for sailing in with your question. There are three different waterways at Walt Disney World that connect many of the resorts to each other. However, these three waterways do not connect to each other. So, I am going to separate each out so you can better understand how the
Disney water launches work. While there may be faster ways to arrive at your destination, I certainly adore the Disney water transportation and find them a very magical way to arrive at our destination.
Magic Kingdom Park area: Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and Disney's Polynesian Village Resort share water transportation, while Disney's Wilderness Lodge and Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground have their own dedicated lines to Magic Kingdom Park. There is also another line that circles between Disney's Contemporary Resort, Disney's Wilderness Lodge, and Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground.
Epcot area: The Friendship Boats connect this theme park with Disney's Yacht and Beach Club Resorts, Disney's BoardWalk Inn, and the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotels.
Disney Springs area: There are two water launches that connect Disney Springs with Disney's Old Key West Resort and Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort. There is also a Sassagoula River Cruise that connects Disney Springs with Disney's Port Orleans Resorts - French Quarter and Riverside.
I hope this information helps you plan your way across Walt Disney World Resort. Please let us know if you have any other questions!
