Are there any resorts, pet friendly?

    Hi Nicole,

Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney. You're definitely not barking up the wrong tree and will be glad to know that Walt Disney World Resort currently offers dog-friendly accommodations at 4 different resorts. Let's dig into all the totally paw-some details!

You can enjoy a stay at Disney's Art of Animation Resort, Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside, and Disney's Yacht Club Resort with your favorite pup by your side assuming your dog is leashed, well-behaved and fully up to date on their vaccinations in addition to some other terms and restrictions. The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort are another great dog-friendly option, offering a cozy retreat in an idyllic wooded setting. You certainly won't be "ruff-ing it" there. Your pup will even be greeted with Pluto’s Welcome Kit when you arrive for your reservation at these resorts. What a treat!

Disney's Art of Animation Resort is always one of my top picks for accommodations and would be a great place to stay with your furry friend. You'll find pet relief areas around the beautifully decorated resort grounds, and can probably snap some cute photos of your pooch while you're at it. I'd recommend that you review the current pet policies before booking your stay which you can do by calling a Cast Member at (407) 939-7539. Keep in mind that an additional fee applies per dog, with a maximum of 2 of Pluto's long-lost cousins per guest room.

My family is considering using our Disney Vacation Club Membership to book a stay at The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort once their renovation process is complete later this year. I think our pup would love to join us on our next Disney adventure and enjoy lots of afternoon snoozes while we spend some time in the parks.

I'd also like to mention that daytime and overnight boarding options are available through Best
    Friend Pet Hotel
(right on property), which can accommodate both dogs and cats and even some smaller pets like birds and reptiles. You'll have plenty of options for your whole menagerie while enjoying your favorite thrilling attractions, dining and entertainment.

I hope this helped, Nicole. Please don't hesitate to come back and see us again with more planning questions. We're always glad to share our best tips and advice, doggone it!

    Wishing you a "fur-rific" visit,
    Amy
