Hi Joseph,
I also enjoy having a little extra room to spread out when on vacation. When my family visits Walt Disney World, we always opt for the
Deluxe Villa accommodations because each of these wonderful resorts has rooms with a living and dining space available. They offer a lot more room to relax and enjoy your time at the resort without feeling like you are right on top of each other.
If you are looking for an option that is convenient for walking to as many places as possible, I recommend staying at Disney's
BoardWalk Villas or
Beach Club Villas. Both resorts feature a 1-bedroom or 2-bedroom option that has a separate living room and kitchen space with additional sleeping options. These resorts are super convenient because you can walk to both Hollywood Studios and EPCOT in addition to taking a friendship boat or bus to any of the 4 theme parks and Disney Springs. You can also walk to several neighboring resorts which multiplies the number of dining and shopping options you have available at your home resort.
If you are looking for maximum space and don't mind being a little secluded from the hustle and bustle of the theme parks, head over to
Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. These are the most spacious options in my opinion for accommodations and offer a fabulous view of the savanna. This resort is a little bit older than some of the other options and is a little further away from everything but love the relaxing nature of it. They offer 1-bedroom, 2-bedroom, and 3-bedroom options that all come equipped with large bathrooms, full kitchens, living rooms, and a balcony.
In my opinion, nothing beats the convenience and magic of staying at a resort hotel right on the monorail!
Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary and the
Villas at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa both offer 1-bedroom, 2-bedroom, and 3-bedroom options with eat-in kitchens, living rooms, and bathrooms galore! The bonus is you can wake up and jump right on the monorail to get to Magic Kingdom or EPCOT.
If you are looking for a little bit more affordable option,
Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa and
Old Key West Villas are a great spacious option conveniently located near Disney Springs. This will maximize your shopping and dining options while still providing convenient bus access to all of the theme parks. They also offer 1-bedroom, 2-bedroom, and even 3-bedroom treehouses as an option with great living space for relaxing and hanging out with your family.
You really can't go wrong with any of these options and there will be tons of room for your crew to have a blast.
Happy Planning,
Jenna
