My family and I just returned from a lovely stay at Disney's Grand Floridian. We did notice that although this year they are not featuring a gingerbread house, the lobby refurbishment has been completed and it was full of festive decorations.
Taking a tour of a few Disney Resorts can be such an enjoyable adventure. This year you can find gingerbread displays at the following locations:
• Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge
• Disney’s Beach Club Resort
• Disney’s BoardWalk Inn
• Disney’s Contemporary Resort
... with an honorable mention of Wilderness Resort, which is featuring a chocolate resort replica. My fellow panelist Eean wrote a lovely guest response featuring the
best Disney Resorts to see gingerbread houses this year, I highly recommend checking it out.
Now on to discussing one of my favorite things: refillable mugs! What a perfect companion to take along on your Disney Resort tour... for free refills of hot cocoa, coffee, or Diet Coke along the way. Excellent strategy. As of last week, I was seeing the same mug design at all the Disney Resorts we visited. It's a whimsical scene featuring Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, and Goofy zooming along in Mickey's car, along with icons from all four Disney Parks, a few representations of various Disney Resorts, all under fireworks-filled sky! You have your choice of a turquoise, green, orange, or hot pink lid. They're adorable, and so colorful.
