Hi! Which resorts have the community rooms where you can do crafts and rent DVD's? We LOVE that at BLT, but would like to try a new resort. We are DVC. Thank you!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel Amanda! I’m so glad you came here with your question!

Trying out the different Disney Vacation Club Resorts is one of my favorite parts of booking a Walt Disney World vacation. Each one has so much to offer, with unique theming, a variety of dining options, incredible swimming pool areas, and various exciting activities.  I’m so glad to hear that you have enjoyed staying at Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort and utilizing the Community Hall. It can be tough to break away from a favorite resort, but such an adventure when trying out a new one. You will be happy to hear that all of the Disney Vacation Club Resorts have activity or community centers with DVD rentals, but let me make a few standout recommendations.

At Disney’s BoardWalk Villas you can find the Ferris W. Eahlers Community Hall that offers games, arts and crafts and DVD rentals. I love Disney’s BoardWalk Villas because Disney’s BoardWalk has so many fantastic restaurants, including one of my favorites; Trattoria al Forno. Another great option would be Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa. The Community Hall here not only offers games such as ping pong and foosball, board games, arts and crafts, and DVD rentals, they also allow you to check out tennis, basketball and shuffleboard equipment for use at the sports courts. Saratoga Springs is located just a short walk from Disney Springs, home of incredible restaurants, tons of shopping, and exciting nightlife. Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas – Kidani Village as well as Disney’s Old Key West Resort are a couple more options with Community Halls worth checking out.

I hope this helps you choose your next fun-filled Disney Vacation Club Resort! Be sure to stop back by the Disney Parks Moms Panel if you have any additional questions or just need some tips for your next vacation.
