Which resorts are closed to COVID19 as we are due to go to the Port Orleans French Quater in September.

Hi there, Jennifer! Welcome back to the wonderful world of planDisney! Thank you so much for taking the time to reach back out and ask another excellent Walt Disney World Resort vacation question!

Disney’s Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter is a charming resort themed after the historic French Quarter found in New Orleans! This can be seen in the rustic cobblestone walkways, colorful Mardi Gras decorations, classic magnolia trees, and the sound of jazz music playing in the air. Guests can also look forward to relaxing strolls along the Sassagoula River and delicious Cajun dishes at Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory! Did you know that you can also get piping hot beignets at this resort? They’re a mouthwatering sweet treat you definitively don’t want to miss!

During the initial reopening stages at Walt Disney World Resort, only select resorts in the Disney Resort Collection are open and accepting reservations. At this time, a reopening date for Disney’s Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter has not been announced. That being said, if this resort has not reopened as you get closer to your departure date, you can contact the Disney Resort Hotel Reservations phone line and discuss your accommodation options. Cast Members will happily assist you in identifying a suitable alternative resort that best fits your needs and wants for your stay!

A great way of staying up-to-date on the reopening dates of the various Disney Resort hotels is by following the Disney Parks Blog! This website is the first place to provide any updates regarding all of the Disney Parks. Additionally, there are also many engaging articles that are so much fun to read as your prepare for your vacation!
